Lone Pine Canoe uses high quality marine enamel paints from Epifanes and Interlux. Both companies manufacture paint formulas designed for water and weather with a hard enamel-like finish in a wide range of colors. Epifanes paint has a slightly more intense gloss finish than the Interlux but both products look great on a cedar canvas canoe and hold up equally well to the elements. Please note that Interlux colors are usually a bit lighter than they appear on the color chip samples. The choice comes down to personal preference in color and finish. Here’s a sampling of how they look on finished projects. Note: In 2024, Interlux replaced their Brightside line of paints with a new Toplac Plus formula offering enhanced UV protection and a new palette of colors.
