Late 1960's 15' 9” Huron cedar-canvas canoe - $3350
The characteristic flat bottom of the Huron canoes renders them relatively stable and easy to paddle and makes them a popular choice for cottage a canoes. This canoe was purchased around 1970 and was lovingly cared for by the same family until it was brought to our shop for recanvassing and minor repair work. It enjoyed many adventures exploring in Algonquin Park, creating precious family memories along the way before settling down at the family cottage in the Renfrew Valley. With a new canvas, new outwales, a contoured yoke and two fresh coats of UV varnish to protect the interior, it's all ready to find a new family and go paddling in search of new adventures.

SOLD - Vintage 14' Chestnut Playmate
The Chestnut Playmate is a standard pleasure canoe that was popular from the 1950’s through to the 1970’s. The materials used were chosen for strength and durability in order to build a sturdy canoe that would give maximum service. This particular canoe looks like it was one of the earlier models from the 1950's. The restoration project involved inwale splices, new outwales and decks, and repaired hand-woven caned seats.
