This 1970's Langford canoe arrived in the shop in need of a little bit of LPC to get it back into top shape. The original canvas has done it's time and water damage had rotted out part of the floor planking and the underside of the keel.
Lone Pine Canoe uses high quality marine enamel paints from Epifanes and Interlux. Both companies manufacture paint formulas designed for water and weather with a hard enamel-like finish in a wide range of colors. Epifanes paint has a slightly more intense gloss finish than the Interlux but both products look great on a cedar canvas canoe and hold up equally well to the elements. Please note that Interlux colors are usually a bit lighter than they appear on the color chip samples. The choice of brand to go with comes down to personal preference in color and finish. Here’s a sampling of how they look on finished projects.
