LONE PINE CANOE COMPANY
March 26, 2020
Lone Pine Canoe Company is a family business. Our workshop is located near our home which permits us to continue working on projects in the shop. We are currently open BY APPOINTMENT for drop-off and pick-up of canoes for repairs, and for viewing products for sale. We can be reached by telephone, by email, or by filling in the contact form on our website.
We take the COVID-19 crisis very seriously. In order to keep our home and workplace as safe as possible, we have made a personal decision to respect the local travel restrictions in place and to limit our activities outside of the home to necessary errands. Modifications have been made to our regular cleaning routines around the home to help keep us healthy and to ensure that it will be safe for you to come and visit us.
We have made the following changes to our business operations in line with the recommendations from health authorities regarding physical distancing and limiting contact with others:
1) Drop-off and pick up of canoes in the shop for repairs, and viewing of canoes and products available for sale will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Appointments will be held out of doors respecting the recommended physical distance of at least six feet.
2) If you have been asked to observe a 14-day quarantine or self-isolation period or are currently unwell, please DO NOT make an appointment to see us until that time period is completed and you no longer have symptoms.
3) NO visitors are permitted inside the workshop or the house.
4) We prefer e-transfer payments at this time if possible. We are hoping to offer credit card payment options in the near future.
These measures and the directions from the health authorities are temporary but they are important and necessary to protect ourselves and our loved ones from this infection. We hope that you all remain healthy during this pandemic so that you will be able to paddle a thing of beauty when the ice melts and the crisis passes.
Thank you for your cooperation during this challenging situation.
