LONE PINE CANOE COMPANY
COVID-19 UPDATE
Original Post: March 26, 2020
Last Updated: January 6, 2025
Lone Pine Canoe Company is a small family business with a workshop located near our home. We are open by appointment for drop-off and pick-up of canoes for repairs, and for viewing products for sale. We can be reached by telephone, by email, or by filling in the contact form on our website.
Following the public health recommendations and taking some basic precautions throughout the pandemic enabled us to stay healthy and keep up with the busy schedule of projects to be completed in the shop. Our goal is to continue to keep our home and workplace safe for ourselves and those who visit.
We appreciate very much your cooperation with the following requests:
1) Please contact us to make an appointment before coming by to visit so that we can arrange our work to be available to meet with you when you arrive.
2) If you know that you have been exposed to or tested positive for COVID or any other respiratory illness, please wait until you are feeling better before making an appointment to come and visit. Also, if you have been asked to observe a quarantine or self-isolation period, please wait until that time period is completed before making an appointment.
3) We prefer to conduct appointments out of doors when possible and weather permitting.
4) Wearing a mask is not required. If you are visiting inside the shop, you may want to wear one anyway, since it is usually dusty and most of our finishes are oil-based and the fumes from fresh paint or varnish can be bothersome.
We hope that you all stay safe and healthy.
